The Partners

Jeffery Collins

Since 1994, Collins has worked as a professional economist conducting applied research for a wide range of clients. From 1999 to 2006, Collins served as Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas. As director, Collins conducted research for a wide range of clients including major U.S. companies such as Southwestern Energy, U.S. Government agencies including the Army Corps of Engineers, state and local governmental agencies particularly those engaged in economic development, and not-for-profit organizations. In 2004, Collins initiated the Skyline Report for Arvest Bank Group which analyzed commercial, multi-family, and residential real estate markets in Benton and Washington Counties, Arkansas.

Collins' expertise has made him a highly sought speaker on national and local economic conditions. He has also been widely quoted by international, national, and local media. Collins list of media credits include: the BBC, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, U.S.A. Today, and CNN.

Collins earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Colorado State University and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee in economics.

Tom Reed

Tom received his Bachelor's degree in Finance Real Estate and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and has worked as an appraisar for over thirty years. In 1979, Tom founded Reed & Associates. Tom is State Certified General Appraiser in both Arkansas and Missouri. He is also a member of the Appraisal Institute. Tom is a Member of the Ozark Mountain Chapter of The Appraisal Institute and Received MAI designation in 1988. He founded Real Estate Market Data, Inc. in 1999.

Sherryl Barger

Sherryl has worked as a research communicator for 27 years. She began her career as a publication editor at the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. Her award winning work includes the Skyline Report. In addition to designing the report Sherryl was instrumental in creating the data collection methodology.

Sherryl has extensive experience in event coordination. She coordinated the annual Business Forecast Luncheon, organized through the Sam M. Walton College of Business. This event regularly attracts over 1,000 attendees.
